Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Occasions Event Management Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of our website and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use our services.
Services Overview
Occasions Event Management Inc. provides event planning, management, and styling services, including but not limited to:
- Corporate event planning and management
- Wedding planning and coordination
- Indian wedding services and cultural event planning
- Event décor and styling
- Equipment and décor rentals
- Full-service event management
Booking and Reservations
Service Agreements
All service bookings require a formal agreement outlining the scope of services, deliverables, timeline, and pricing. This agreement must be signed by both parties before services commence.
Deposits and Payments
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date and services
- The deposit amount will be specified in your service agreement
- Final payment is typically due 14 days before the event date unless otherwise specified
- Late payments may result in service cancellation or additional fees
- All payments must be made in Canadian dollars (CAD)
Cancellation Policy
- More than 90 days before event: Full refund minus deposit
- 60-90 days before event: 50% refund of amount paid
- 30-60 days before event: 25% refund of amount paid
- Less than 30 days before event: No refund
We reserve the right to cancel services due to circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
Rental Equipment and Décor
Rental Terms
- Rental periods are calculated as full days unless otherwise specified
- Equipment must be returned in the same condition as received
- A security deposit may be required for certain rental items
- Late returns will incur additional daily rental charges
Damage and Loss
You are responsible for any damage to or loss of rental equipment during the rental period. Charges for damages or losses will be deducted from your security deposit or billed separately. Costs will reflect repair or replacement value as determined by us.
Delivery and Setup
Delivery and setup services are available for an additional fee. Setup and breakdown times will be coordinated in advance. You must ensure venue access at agreed-upon times.
Client Responsibilities
As our client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your event
- Respond to communications in a timely manner
- Obtain all necessary permits and permissions for your event
- Ensure venue access for our team at agreed-upon times
- Provide adequate parking and loading access for deliveries
- Inform us of any venue restrictions or requirements
- Make timely payments according to your service agreement
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Occasions Event Management Inc. shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenues, data, or use
- Damages caused by third-party vendors or service providers
- Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
- Acts or omissions of venue staff or other event participants
Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for our services.
Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and designs, is the property of Occasions Event Management Inc. or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
We retain all rights to photographs, videos, and other media created during the planning and execution of your event. We may use such media for marketing and promotional purposes unless you expressly opt out in writing.
Photography and Media Release
By using our services, you grant us permission to photograph and record your event and use such media for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to grant this permission, you must notify us in writing before your event.
Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, labor disputes, supplier failures, or other force majeure events.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration in British Columbia, Canada, in accordance with the laws of British Columbia.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
